丘の上APT 兒嶋画廊が「化鳥」に続いていどむ鏡花ワールド
マルメロという妙香を発し人々を惑わす果実が呼び寄せる数奇でキッチュな物語り！
少年らが出会う、おおきな古屋敷に住む怪老人の妖力に巻き込まれて、美少女音羽やお女郎神主や占い師、 旅芸人一座の女役者らが繰り広げる、シュールで不可思議でとりとめもない、ちょっとお色気もあるサスペンス。
画廊主兒嶋描き下ろしのタブローやオブジェ、コラージュ、また丘の上APT周辺の鏡花的世界、魔境を撮影した写真などを駆使して、これまた突飛なマルセルシャン・デュシャンの作品とのコラボも見逃せない観客参加の覗きからくり。

Homage to Kyōka Izumi“A tale of quinces with eyes and nose”- Kyōka Izumi and surrealism
We are so glad to inform you that the exhibition“A tale of quinces with eyes and nose”featuring the short story of the same title by Kyoka Izumi as a motif will open at Gallery Kojima from 8th March to 7th April.
Kyōka Izumi was well known and accepted from the end of 19th century to the beginning of the 20th, and created the stories full of romanticism, the supernatural, and vivid and mysterious characters. He had an influence on many storywriters such as J.Tanizaki, Y.Kawabata, and Y.Mishima. His surrealistic world appeals to a lot of people even today.
The story is set in over a hundred years ago, and starts from the scene when a boy meets suspicious old man under an aromatic “quince-tree”. After that he encounters bizarre things and people such as a priest in pederasty, a fortune teller, a stroller, and mysterious girl “Otowa”.
The world of Kyoka will appear in the gallery Kojima, showing the paintings, objects, collages which are created by gallerist Toshio Kojima and children from the neighborhood. Exhibition will be full of gimmicks so that you can re-experience just as the boy went through singular incidents in the tale, which will remind you that the world where you live in is full of surreal things and the supernatural.
